When I came back from Beijing, I thought it would be a good idea to collate the photos into a book. Something that I could send to my parents, and these photobooks generally cost only GBP10 to produce.

That was a month ago, and it is still nowhere near done.

Now, a photograhy blog has come up with the brilliant idea of doing Solo Photo Book Month, or in short, SoFoMoBo. Basically the same idea as NaNoWriMo (the writing a novel version) where in April, people start taking pictures and produce a photo book or a .pdf version of it by the end of the month.

I have tried NaNoWriMo for 3 years but never quit managed to meet the 50,000 word deadline by the end of the month. But this, with the deadline of 35 photos sounds doable enough. It would definitely be interesting to learn to work within such a confined space of time. And as what David Alan Harvey said on his blog, there is no difference between the amateurs and professionals, that everyone is given the same space of time, and then its up to the skills.

So I have signed up, and maybe publicly stating a goal will add the pressure and hopefully motivate me to actually finish this.
