I have always been a fan of Japanese confectionary, and there is never much choice to be found in London except for the usual mochis. That is, until today when we went to Minamoto Kitchoan in Piccadilly Circus.It is located opposite Fortnum & Mason, and right beside La Maison du Chocolat. It’s a surprise find as I walk by the area often enough and never noticed it before. The shop had many varieties of Japanese confectionary i.e. mochi-, jelly-, cake- based.  After much pacing up and down the aisle, I decided on the cherry blossom flavoured one, and a chestnut+red bean one. It was all so good, we each bought back more for some weekday night indulgence.
